Clowning Around at Emerson's Birthday Party!

We got to celebrate Emerson's 2nd birthday with her this past weekend at the Circus! We had such a BLAST! Molly and Piper did such a great job (especially considering it was way past their bedtime when we left). Stacy, Emer's mom, made all of the kids a tie-dyed shirt to wear - they were soo cute! We were escorted up to the private party room by a security officer (so of course we felt sooo important). Molly ate a whole cupcake and wanted seconds!

Then we were escorted down to the Circus... which was AWESOME! I can't tell you how long it had been since I was at a Circus. James, Molly & Piper had never been!! Molly was wearing her clown nose off and on during the event. Every time an acrobat or clown would do something amazing or fun Molly would turn to James and say, "Daddy, I do that sometimes!". She was clapping and yelling - it was such fun! Piper kept taking the straw out of some random person 's drink who was sitting behind us. Fortunately they were super cool and got a big kick out of her (and her very obnoxious happy squeals!). That poor baby was so exhausted by the end of the show - she was doing that nodding-off thing... It was so sad, but so cute!

Thanks Ruby Clan for inviting us to this special event!

James Has Finally Met His Match

James loves Ultimate Fighting.... He has been wanting to get back into it (he used to do ju-jitsu in college) but hasn't really found anyone to practice with or a gym that he would like to join. Well, it looks like he has finally enlisted someone... and I think.... maybe he has met his match.

Molly's New Friend... Chi Man Bob??

I'm guessing the name is a mix between chia pet, man and Bob? Anyway, while Molly was at Bitty's house they made this cute little guy. He didn't grow for so long that I almost threw him away. Then one morning Molly said, "Mommy, look what I made for you!". I couldn't figure out what she was talking about. And then I saw him..... Chi Man Bob. He is way cute so we decided that he should be on the blog.
Thanks Bitty! Molly loves to watch his "hair" grow! She has been telling me that we MUST cut his hair or at least give him a bow. Maybe we will!

Over the River and Through the Woods....

We recently took a trip to Brownwood, TX to visit Dangela's Grandparents, Nana & Papa. They are so special to us and we were so thankful to have had such a wonderful time with them! The girls were great and LOVED getting to know their Great-Grandparents better. We went to their sweet little Southern Baptist Country Church on Sunday. It is so amazing how differently they live. There is so much peace and the pace of life is definitely slower! Everyone came to greet us and the Pastor mentioned us a few times during the sermon. They are very authentic people and I learned so much just from watching them interact with each other, sing the hymns with so much joy and passion and hearing them pray for each individual that could not make it to church that day. Thanks Nana & Papa for being such strong role models for us!

Happy Birthday Dangela & Happy 4th of July!

Wow! What an awesome weekend it was! James planned such a fun birthday bash! My parents came up and met us and our best friends, Dave & Kristen McCurdy (Katelyn too!), at Chucky Cheese's (Where a kid - or adult - can be a kid!) I know I know, you're saying to yourself "wow between the awesome pizza and fun games.... what more is there?" Well, we went back to our house and had a small surprise party (with family). There was singing, cake, balloons & PRESENTS (my favorite part)! To top it all off, we soo had a slumber party with the McCurdys!! The next day was the 4th, so we decorated the double jogger for the babies and the tricycle for Molly and cruised around the neighborhood - It was such a fun time... until Piper & BK let us know it was past nap time!

Happy 2nd Birthday Fisher!

We got to celebrate Fisher's 2nd Birthday with him (his family & friends too!) at his awesome pool party. I can't believe I don't have pictures of the kids in the pool...yeah I know! I did get pics of the bounce house and a cut one of Rob helping Fisher with his presents! I have to say, the bounce house is the way to go! It was the perfect size and Molly had a blast playing with some new friends; however, the highlight was jumping around with one of her old pals, Tanner! Molly got a lift from Fisher on his way cool tricycle! It was such a fun day with good company, food and a beautiful pool! Thanks Rob, Estee & Fish (& Laurel too!)

Molly Flies a Kite!

Molly LOVES to play outside. She also LOVES to play with Callyn's boyfriend, Matt (AKA "Mr. Matt") and vice versa. So, when Nanna brought home some kites from a beach in CA Matt did not hesitate to take Molly outside to see what they could do! It was so much fun to watch them play. The best was watching Molly try so hard to keep that darn kite in the air! Well, it's safe to say that Mr. Matt will be a very fun and loving.... hmm fun-loving... dad!
------------------------------------
On another note - I just had to put this in - When we got home we found Bunker in the girls' playroom asleep on one of their toys (it's a frog that makes a "kissing" sound when you touch it). I guess when James is away Bunker has to make new snuggle buddies!

Happy Father's Day!

We had such a wonderful time celebrating the 'Dads' in our family! My parents (Bitty & Bear) came up to Dallas and spent the day with me, James, Molly & Piper (and then later on with the Hill's (Nanna & Poppy) for dinner)! Bitty & Bear were able to spend one-on-one time with Molly & Piper while James helped me prep some dishes for dinner. We finally finished and headed over to Nanna & Poppy's.... ohhh Lynn made the best grilled chicken and homemade ice cream! The girls made the Dads some polka-dot neckties (made with their thumb prints) to wear throughout dinner. We had such a fun day!

Happy Father's Day to Dan, John & James!

Molly's Friend, Graham, Turns 2!

All Aboard... Oh FUN! We had such a great time celebrating Graham's birthday! It was a Train Station theme complete with an actual train that took the kids for a ride around the neighborhood! We also had snow cones, yummy strawberry "train" cake, and a fun time with friends! Molly & Piper left with a CUTE hobo sack filled with a train conductor's hat and train whistle and a little bag of treats! We had a BLAST! Thanks Jenifer, Matt & Graham!!

Molly's Friend, Liliana, Turns 2!

Molly's friend, Liliana, had a birthday party this past weekend! It was so much fun... for all of us. It was a "Garden Party" theme. Rob and Stacy decorated beautifully and the food was oh so yummy! Molly practiced saying "Happy Birthday Lily" all day long!
